This study examines college students’ beliefs and attitudes toward education in a technologically mediated context. Using a Google Forms survey, 56 participants (sophomores and juniors) responded to a 26-item questionnaire. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses (EFA/CFA) were conducted to investigate the latent structure of beliefs and attitudes, conceptualized here as the content and organization of mental states that guide behavior (e.g., perspectives, orientations, and stances). Prior scholarship has focused largely on teachers’ beliefs (1950s–1970s); comparatively less work centers students’ beliefs under contemporary digital conditions. Grounded in multidisciplinary definitions that frame beliefs as psychologically held understandings felt to be true and attitudes as relatively enduring evaluations with affective, behavioral, and cognitive components, this study maps factors that shape students’ views of schooling, classroom climate, and learning tasks. Findings (reported in the full manuscript) aim to inform instructional design and student support practices suited to current educational environments.
