Session: Poster Session
Room: Auditorium Foyer (B1F)
Presentation Type:Poster Presentation
Locomotor skills are important in measuring as much as possible, with obstacles in measurement that require more efficient and effective measuring instruments in data collection. The purpose of this study was to design a valid and reliable sensor and IoT-based locomotor skills measuring instrument. A total of 6 experts were involved for the feasibility assessment, consisting of 2 motor experts, 2 media/IT experts and 2 measurement experts. Field trials involving 45 children aged 3-6 years, data were obtained by field testing and questionnaires, Aiken's V Index analysis, Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC), and r-correlation. The results of the study conveyed that the sensor and IoT-based motor skills measuring instrument was valid, in terms of the aspects of the measuring instrument assessed by experts in the high category, validity was assessed by six ex-perts and showed no difference seen from the ICC value, then small and large group testing had high consistency and correlation, so that the resulting tool was reliable and consistent in data collection. With the existence of a locomotor skill measurement tool, it can help in early detection of locomotor skills in children aged 3-6 years. Overall, the locomotor skill measurement tool provides a significant innovation and is expected to support researchers in collecting locomotor skill data.
